Asher Renk is a Philadelphia-based Graphic Designer whose main focus and interests lies in packaging design. At Parker Strategy Group, she continues to develop these skills through her designs made for print. She spent a year at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, before transferring to Temple University, where she earned her BFA in Graphic Design and further developed her skills.

Her year in New York greatly influenced her design skills and way of thinking, and the introduction to the local music scenes there continues to be a big influence on her colorful work. Whether she's creating new designs or immersed in music, Asher thrives at the intersection of creativity, community, and innovation. She continues to go to shows in Philadelphia and loves to discover new songs to listen to while she works.

BRAND IDENTITY

The Vanguard School & Services supports neurodiverse children and adults through inclusive education, vocational programs, and lifelong services. With a legacy spanning decades, Vanguard is known for its strong sense of community, trust, and commitment to helping individuals grow as independently as possible.

I set out to create a brand identity that reflected Vanguard's warm, human-centered approach while maintaing the credibility of an institution. The final visual direction emphasizes belonging, indivuadlity, and lifelong learning. Through thoughtful typography, approachable messaging, and community-driven visuals, the design highlights Vanguard's role as a trusted partner for students, families, and the broader community, supporting students growth at every stage of life.
BRAND PROCESS

 The branding process explored many visual directions, drawing inspiration from our research into school logos and logos that aligned with the brands language. Eventually, we created a clean logo that incorporates a shooting star, symbolizing growth, legacy, and a sense of community.

By evolving the old brand's identity which had a star, into a shooting star, we added a sense of movement, playfulness, and connection to the schools past. This allowed the identity to feel familiar to the community members within and connected it to it's future growth.
